Anna Paquin
Anna Paquin, a Canadian-New Zealander actor. Paquin was born in Winnipeg was raised in Wellington and made her stage debut as Flora McGrath when she played the character in The Piano. She won an Academy Award at the age of 11 to be the Best Actress Supporting Actress. Anna Paquin's full title is Anna Helene Paquin. Born on July 24, 1982, on the 24th of July 1982 in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada, she was a Canadian born New Zealand actress. As an infant, she won her the Academy Award for best support actress. Paquin moved to New Zealand from Canada as young girl, and then grew up in the country. The part as Flora McGrath - the daughter of a Scottish muffle pianist in New Zealand at mid-19th Century - was won by her after she participated in an open audition. At nine, she had little or none experience with acting. Her move into the United States as a teen. Paquin played the lead role in the film Fly Away Home in 1996 and also had a small part as Jane Eyre when she was still a toddler. Paquin portrayed Frankie Addams as a child in the television film adaptation Carson McCullers novel The Member of the Wedding. Paquin also had a role of the queen of Spain, in Steven Spielbergs 1997 feature film Amistad. She played teenagers on Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (2000), A Walk on the Moon (2000). In addition, she played the role of a teen girl named Polexia Aphrodisa in Almost Famous (2000).
